Yes, you’re welcome to refer friends and family to Prolific! Simply encourage them to sign up to the waitlist. In general you won't receive payment or updates on their progress. They'll be notified themselves if and when they're invited, and we can't say how long that wait might be.

Occasionally we run a paid referral program to recruit participants who meet specific eligibility criteria. The referral page only appears in your account if the program is currently live and you're eligible to take part.

If you're eligible or have active referrals, you'll find everything you need on the referral page in your account. The referral page shows the eligibility criteria, including the minimum number of studies your referred friend must complete before you receive your reward.

Your reward is paid automatically once a referral is marked Successful, no action is needed from you. If a referral is marked Incomplete, no reward is issued.

If your referral hasn't completed the required number of studies yet, or their submissions are still awaiting review, your reward hasn't been triggered. Once their studies are approved, your payment processes automatically. If you're confident they've met the criteria and you still haven't been paid, contact us.

If you could refer people before but now see 0, this is usually because you've used up your current referrals, or the campaign you were part of has ended. Either way, you'll still receive your reward for anyone you already referred successfully.
