404 / 403 when accessing studies
If you've clicked a link to a study and landed on a 404 /403 page, there are several reasons why it might not be accessible, ranging from the study being paused or fully booked, to eligibility requirements or account restrictions. You may also see a 404 page when trying to log in to your account. Read on to find out what might be causing the issue.
The study is paused
The researcher may have temporarily paused the study. This can happen for a number of reasons, such as reviewing responses or making adjustments. Try checking back later, as it may become available again.
The study has ended
The study may have filled, or may no longer be accepting participants. Unfortunately, if this is the case, you won't be able to take part in this particular study.
All places have been filled
Studies have a limited number of spots available. If all places have been taken, the study will no longer be accessible. In some cases, the study may open up again if the researcher increases places.
You have an active study submission on your account
You can only participate in one study at a time. If you have a study submission currently in progress, you'll need to complete it before you can access a new one.
You aren't eligible for this study
If you were sent a direct link to a study, it's possible that the study has specific eligibility criteria that you don't meet. Studies are targeted to particular groups of participants, so not every study will be available to everyone.
You're currently unable to take studies
In some cases, your account may be temporarily restricted from accessing studies. Please see this article for more details: Why is my participant account temporarily restricted from accessing studies
