What is limited access?

When you join Prolific on a limited access basis, you have the opportunity to take part in a select number of studies that match your profile.

While access to studies may be limited at this time, each opportunity allows you to contribute to important research. We’re committed to expanding the number of studies available to your in the future and appreciate your patience as we grow.

If you’ve completed all verification steps, you’ll receive notifications when studies that match your profile become available.

💡 If you haven't completed all verification steps, you won’t be able to participate in studies.

Can I withdraw the money I’ve earned?

You can withdraw your earnings at any time, even if you haven’t reached the standard £6/$6 cash-out threshold. This temporary adjustment makes it easier for you to access your rewards.

How do I get more studies?

To make the most of your time on Prolific and increase your chances of receiving study invitations, follow these tips:

• Keep your profile updated: Ensure that your About You section is accurate and up to date. This helps us match you with studies that align with your background and interests. Use the filters on your Preferences page to see studies that suit you.
• Enable notifications: Install the Prolific Assistant extension for instant notifications when new studies are available. Also, make sure email notifications are turned on in your Preferences and regularly check your inbox.

Can I delete my account?

If you decide to delete your account, please be aware that rejoining may be difficult, and we cannot guarantee future access to the platform. We value your contributions and hope you enjoy participating in Prolific studies!
